COMPANY EXPERIENCE
• Evan joined Livingstones (now Colliers International Property Management Ltd) in 1979 initially as a Property Manager.
• In 1987 Evan became Director of Property Management to oversee the development and strategic planning of the company’s nationwide retail and commercial portfolio and assumed responsibility for an independent consultancy role.
PROFESSIONAL ACCOMPLISHMENTS
• Evan oversees an extensive property management portfolio of retail, commercial, industrial and residential properties (over $2 billion) and also provides consultancy services to clients.
• In his consultancy role he provides expert advice to assist clients through both new and redevelopment projects.
• Consultancy activities include advising corporate, local authority and institutional clients throughout New Zealand on all retail matters including town centres, bulk retail, Airport retail including detailed demographic and retail expenditure analysis.
• As Director of Property Management Evan oversees a team of specialist property managers and drives the strategic planning and identification and analysis of opportunities for the company and their clients.
• His property management expertise is particularly strong in the retail sector and he is one of New Zealand’s foremost authorities on the factors needed for a vibrant, profitable shopping centre.
• Evan also assists the New Zealand Council of Shopping Centres and the Property Council of New Zealand in setting the framework and policies regarding retail shopping centre investment and management including Government submissions, industry initiatives and the like.
PRIOR EXPERIENCE
• Prior to joining in 1979 Evan was a senior valuer for the Housing Corporation of New Zealand in Christchurch after transferring from Auckland in 1975.

EDUCATION • Diploma in Urban Valuation (with Honours) through Auckland University in 1975.
• Registered Valuer, Registered Property Manager and Registered Property Consultant.
• Evan was the first New Zealander to complete the Certified Shopping Centre Manager of Australasia course held in Australia in 1987.
