COMPANY EXPERIENCE
• Martin returned to the company in August 2002.
• Martin holds the position of Director-Valuations in the enlarged practice trading now as Colliers International Valuation (ChCh) Limited.
• Originally Martin joined the company in 1978 and stayed for a period of 3 years.
• Partnership at the firm of Ford & Hadfield Limited and was instrumental in the establishment of Ford Baker Valuation.
• With the establishment of Darroch Limited in Christchurch Martin attained the position of South Island Director and Partner and remained in that position until the acquisition of Darroch by DTZ in 2002.
PROFESSIONAL ACCOMPLISHMENTS
• Martin has been in private practice as a valuer and property consultant in Christchurch since 1979.
• Before rejoining the company, Martin was a senior managing partner in a Christchurch valuation and real estate company.
• Martin spent in excess of 10 years as Director of Darroch Ltd (now DTZ).
• Martin has a wide experience in valuation and consultancy for commercial, industrial and development project property for the purpose of market, mortgage, rental and feasibility.
PRIOR EXPERIENCE
• Particular expertise in the field of rental assessments, arbitrations and corporate valuations having been appointed on numerous occasions as Arbitrator or as Umpire.
• High Court expert witness experience.
• Presently acts for a large number of nationwide firms and institutions as well as local companies and trust companies. Co-ordinates national assignments for New Zealand wide organisations.
• Has valued throughout the country in one of his specialty fields of valuation supermarkets.
• Various valuations for the credit recovery units of major trading banks and accepted by all major trading lenders completing valuations for mortgage security purposes on a wide range of commercial and industrial properties.
• Served on the Christchurch branch of the Institute of Valuers including holding the position of Branch Secretary.
• Past executive member of the South Island branch of the previously known Building Owners & Managers Association.
