Upon leaving Massey University in 1993 Leroy held positions in asset management and accounting and finance in both New Zealand and UK. He commenced his career with Colliers International (NZ) Limited in 2000 when he was appointed as Property Manager for a select group of Auckland CBD property portfolios owned by various high net worth and institutional clients.
Transferring into the Retail division in 2002 Leroy quickly established himself as a successful real estate broker with a number of nationwide sales and leasing transactions within the retail sector.
Today Leroy focuses on national and independent retailers predominately in the large format and convenience retail sectors. He has extensive knowledge of retail opportunities in most major centres throughout New Zealand.
In addition he takes a strategic role in advising private and institutional developers and landlords on project leasing options. He matches tenants’ requirements with appropriate opportunities and assists in rationalising any sites surplus to their needs.
Leroy has developed strong working relationships with a number of Australian retailers. He has actively assisted them to identify strategic opportunities to launch their brands into the New Zealand market, including most recently The Good Guys (2010) and FCO (2011). Leroy is a member of the Australian Bulky Goods Retailers Association and regularly attends forums in Sydney and Melbourne.
He is committed to delivering results to his clients.
