Michelle is an ambitious MBA graduate with a background in health care provision and management and a strong record of academic and professional achievements.
Michelle began her professional life as a qualified nurse and she holds a post graduate qualification in Intensive Care Nursing.
Michelle served as a Commissioned Officer in the Queen Alexandra’s Royal Army Nursing Corps in the British Armed Forces, the New Zealand Defence Force and alongside the United Nations. She has served in the UK, Germany, Bosnia and Northern Ireland and was in the first NZDF deployment to East Timor.
On leaving the Army she managed a staff of 160 people as a Senior Manager at the District Health Board.
Michelle joined Colliers International in 2006. She is now part of the Wellington CBD Investment sales team and specialises in Commercial & Investment transactions, and Health & Aged Care Services.
She is known for her tenacity and resilience and the ability to think on her feet. Expert at building relationships, her clients appreciate her integrity, professionalism, expertise and honesty.
At the forefront of her practice Michelle combines supreme management and organisational skills with a competitive knowledge of commercial sales, along with highly relevant expertise in all areas of the health care sector. She has instigated and managed several significant transactions and has brokered property and business sales across a range of sectors during her time in Commercial Real Estate.

These include long term care homes for the elderly, care villages, children's day nurseries and specialist units, such as mental health, learning or physical disability care homes, independent hospitals as well as new care home developments and existing healthcare businesses that are looking to expand or develop.
The team understands the importance of confidentiality, discretion, political and social sensibilities when dealing with assets in the healthcare market; Michelle’s Military nursing history has provided a keen understanding of the issues and customers and clients can be assured that their business or asset will be treated with the utmost privacy.
