Key survey findings:-

Overall confidence increased from -3% to 10%, the most optimistic result recorded since the inception of this survey
All centres surveyed showed an improvement in confidence compared to the year prior
Christchurch had the largest increase in confidence by 47% compared to three months ago, with industrial investors the most optimistic. Note that the survey was taken in early June
Nelson and Wellington are the only centres where confidence has declined, dropping -10% and -1% respectively compared to three months ago
Of the three main centres, Wellington is the most pessimistic at a net -15%
By sector in all of the main centres, industrial investors are the most optimistic
3695 responses were utilised to construct the survey results
