This month we concentrate primarily on the industrial property market. You may have seen the headline results of our investor confidence survey showing a slight dip in overall confidence, although there are still more optimists than pessimists. However looking at the industrial sector results for the main centres in more depth, it is clear that investor sentiment around the country is highly variable.
Confidence in Auckland’s industrial market is high. 49% of responses forecast improving conditions for investors in the next 12 months, with only 8% suggesting the opposite, and the remainder expecting stability. Although slightly down on the net 47% recorded in June, the September net 41% is the highest level of optimism among any of the sectors and shows robust growth from 34% six months ago and only 5% 12 months ago.
