New Rural and Agribusiness Valuation directors appointed

Ed Percy, Greg Petersen and Tim Gifford appointed as directors

Colliers International has appointed three new directors to its Rural and Agribusiness Valuation and Advisory Services team.

Ed Percy, Greg Petersen and Tim Gifford have been promoted following years of strong performance expanding Colliers' client portfolio and proving themselves instrumental to the company’s future growth and innovation.

"Ed, Greg and Tim have been at the forefront of building strong partnerships both in New Zealand and across the Tasman, with an excellent track record of delivering quality valuations and establishing themselves among the leading specialist rural valuation experts in the country," says Colliers' Rural Valuation Executive Director Tim Crighton.

"They have proven their commitment to the job and the team and never failed to rise to the challenge. Their expertise, experience and passion for the profession and the company will be a great addition to the already strong senior team of the Rural and Agribusiness Valuation division."

Percy has 25 years’ experience in the property and agribusiness sectors throughout New Zealand and has been with the team since 2014, focusing on specialised asset valuations, large rural portfolio valuations, and infrastructural project assessments.

"Within his new role he will also assume more responsibility of overseeing, streamlining and updating Colliers' processes and systems to maintain the benchmark status of the team’s valuation work and reports," Crighton says.

Petersen has been with Colliers firm since 2011 and has over 15 years of broad property consultancy experience.

"He plays a lead role in our corporate dairy farm valuation work, high country, infrastructure compensation, and intensive farming operations valuation practice areas," Crighton says.

"He is well-regarded as a leading specialist of rural property valuations in the South Island and for his extensive knowledge of the dairy sector and irrigation. "

Gifford has been with the team since 2006 and is currently based in Colliers' Blenheim office.

"During this time, Tim has established himself as a leading expert in the viticulture space with an enviable portfolio of clients," Crighton says.

"He also specialises in high country tenure review and rental valuations, pastoral valuations, specialised asset valuations and compensation assessments for infrastructure projects nationwide."

Percy and Petersen are leading the firm’s mentoring programme, which makes it possible for the team to grow and expand its capability.

Crighton says they, along with other senior staff, are teaching and supporting Colliers' graduates in preparation for registration and progressively assuming more responsibilities within the team.

"Needless to say, they proudly maintain a 100 per cent success track record."

Meanwhile, Rural Valuation team member Jack Powell has become a Registered Valuer.

"Jack joined the team as a graduate in 2015 and has put the hard yards learning and following the high standards set for him by the senior valuers," Crighton says.

"He is well prepared to make the next step in his career and assume new responsibilities in his dealings with clients.

"Let’s congratulate Ed, Greg, Tim and Jack for their outstanding performance to date and wish them all the best in the new endeavours they undertake in their new roles."
