National Director | Real Estate Management
Richard leads Colliers International’s Real Estate Management team. The team comprises nearly 160 employees across the country. Richard has 20 over years’ experience in the property industry.
Richard’s background has been across large scale assets, predominantly retail with some commercial properties.
He is actively involved in project leasing, retail consultancy and development opportunities, and leads the strategic positioning of assets to maximise value to owners.
Richard joined Colliers following 12 years at Kiwi Property Group, where he held various leasing and management roles.
He has extensive knowledge and experience in management, leasing, redevelopment and strategic planning.
Richard consults across a wide variety of clients including listed property trusts, private clients, off-shore funds and syndicates.

John joined Colliers International in January 2017 after spending over 10 years in the Financial Services industry. Prior to joining Colliers, John spent 8 years at BNZ where he was a Partner in the Property Finance team. This involved managing a Senior Property Finance portfolio with heavy involvement in various Commercial investment and development property transactions through-out New Zealand.
John leads the Auckland Commercial Real Estate Management team for Colliers. The team provides core property management services as well as Strategic Asset management consultancy with a specific focus on identifying ways to maximise the value of an asset but furthermore identifying additional income streams for their clients.

I have worked for Colliers International for over 8 years and manage over 50,000m2 of predomionatly shopping centres, along with retail and commercial space.
The portfolio is spread across the upper North Island and has extensive knowledge and experience in management, leasing, redevelopment and strategic planning
Assets I have been involved with include Shore City, Downtown Shopping Centre, Centre City, The Boundary, Silverdale Mall, Highbury Shopping Centre, Highland Park Shopping centre, Coast Plaza.
Previously worked in the U.K for 4 years managing predominately Central London assets for large institutional investors.
25 years' experience in retail and commercial property management. Lynda owned her own management company for 10 years.
Mervyn has worked in commercial property management in Auckland since 1988 for a number of organisations and has been with Colliers since 2003

I possess a significant record of achievement in strategic asset management, lease negotiation, tenant retention, makegood negotiation, property divestment and acquisition and have worked on flagship projects which have received numerous awards and national industry recognition.
In 2018 I was awarded the Colliers International CEO's Award and nominated Most Valuable Person for Asset Management within Real Estate Management at Colliers.
I am fortunate to have experienced repeat clients and internal promotion throughout my property career.

Senior Marketing Manager
Instrumental in developing and delivering new shopping centre brands and rebranding. Recent projects include WestCity Waitakere, Silverdale Mall and the BNZ Centre.
Specialist experience in transitioning shopping centres through the change of ownership process, relevant to the marketing function including SCentre Group selling WestCity to Angaet Group 2017, Westfield selling Downtown Shopping Centre to AMP NZ Office and Westfield selling Shore City to Aviva Investors in 2012.

Jane comes from Westfield, where she had nearly 15 years in leading a national team in providing marketing solutions in a retail environment for brands and retail businesses via activations and sponsorships in the right locations.
Jane will look at opportunities for centres in New Zealand managed by Colliers International and independently managed, and will add value across the portfolio to get the best outcome for the relevant owners

Gerhard joined Colliers International in 2006 as a senior development consultant within the retail and development consultancy team. Gerhard has over 20 years of experience in the property industry and is currently responsible for the Property Management arm of Colliers as well as Commercial Leasing and Corporate Services. Various aspects of his duties are performed across the Middle East in countries such as UAE, Qatar, Jordan, Oman, Syria, Iran, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Beirut and Kuwait.
Before joining Colliers International Gerhard was based in Lusaka Zambia for 4 years as the CEO of Manda Hill Shopping Centre, owned by The Commonwealth Africa Development Fund where he was responsible for the overall management of the company and disposalof the asset at the expiry of his contract period.
His largest role in South Africa was with Broll Property Group where he started as the Financial Manager for the company and then became more involved in the operational side of the business until such a time as he was General Manager for Cresta Shopping Centre.
Senior Facilities Manager
Peter's experience encompasses the entire facilities management industry. He provides operational and capital expenditure forecasting, compliance and risk management, services procurement, project management, sustainability and energy management services providing valuable insight to property owners and tenants.
Zeba works as a Retail Property Manager, with her portfolio consisting of shopping centres. She joined Colliers in 2015 as a Facilities Manager and transitioned into a Property Management role in 2018.
Echo Cai joins the Real Estate Management team bringing over 13 years’ experience in strategic consulting and managing large commercial assets. Educated in New Zealand, Echo holds a Bachelor of Property from the University of Auckland and a Postgraduate Diploma in Finance from Massey University. Echo has worked in the property industry in both New Zealand and China providing high level services to local and international clients.
Nick joins Colliers International with over 10 years experience in shopping centre leasing including masterplanning, with a strong understanding of the nature of the shopping centre lifecycle and the changing nature of retail with the growth of online shopping.
Nick has formed strong relationships with a number of national and international retailers over his career in retail property and enjoys working with tenants and landlords to achieve a positive outcome for both.
Laura re-joined Colliers in August 2017 as a Leasing Executive. She previously worked for the organisation as a Research Assistant while studying. Laura is now accountable for the leasing of client owned assets and is focused on WestCity Waitakere.
Prior to this, Laura was based in Melbourne and was an Assistant Development Manager after completing a Graduate Programme for Coles Supermarkets. Focused on the Victorian tranche of ~200 stores, she gained experience across a wide range of projects and transactions through the leasehold and freehold areas of the business. She then took on a strategic role for a private developer working across a variety of areas of the business.
While at University Laura also sold residential property and duty managed Sylvia Park Shopping Centre on weekends.
