Abby has been with Colliers since November 2018 and before that she was a Medical Laboratory Technician for 10 years. She is close to finishing her Bachelor of Accountancy extramurally through Massey University.
Her role comprises of responding to owners’ account queries, preparing financial reports, levying insurance and annual levies, and completing pre-contract and pre-settlement disclosure statements.
Abby can be relied upon to produce accurate work to a high standard. She is always helpful and has great research qualities useful for resolving queries.
Mandie (Amanda) Sparg has worked for Colliers New Zealand, Hamilton since March 2019 and has extensive administration and accounts knowledge obtained from working in a variety of roles both in New Zealand and and previously in the UK.
Mandie is Colliers Manager of Accounting Services and manages the administration team that supports our property management and body corporate teams. She has a team of 6 being:
- Maree Hill – Commercial Property Management team lead
- Abby Purcell – Body Corporate Administration lead
- Stephanie Hooper – Administration support
- Maria Page – Receptionist, office support and Residential Property Management support
- Jacquie Eudes – Accounts payable
- Julia Armstrong - Administrator/Accounts Assistant
Mandie has allowed her team to expand their roles and has offered support and training to allow them to develop the skills and attitude to adequately support our working property managers and body corporate managers and our clients. She is always willing to help out where needed and is driven to get things right.
Mandie ensures that the financial accounts are correct and deadlines are met according to requirements. Her main duties are:
- Monthly Reconciliations
- Month End Audit Reporting
- Process payments through the bank
- Set up new Body Corporates
- Provide information to Body Corporate Managers and Owners as required
- Reviewing and approving Body Corporate Financial Year End Accounts
- Investing funds as required
- Ensure IRD filing obligations are met, including income tax returns/GST returns
- Liaising with our tax Agent (Mandy is this the right word)
Given that the work load fluctuates, due to year end requirements of our Bodies Corporate, Mandie is skilled at ensuring her team copes with the fluctuations - her ability to multi- task and prioritise is a great asset to Colliers, Hamilton.
Often the information that we receive from Bodies Corporate that we take over is in a piecemeal state and Mandie is very good a working through all information received and getting to a position that both we and the clients can sign off on.
