Kane has over 25 years of experience in the New Zealand, Australian and UK real estate sector.
Kane’s experience is truly global having provided valuation and advisory services throughout the Pacific along with various pan-European and pan-Asian portfolio valuation assignments. In the UK he was directly involved in some of the largest development and land transactions including support for a corporate acquisition by US logistics giant Prologis and the provision of feasibility studies for the development of London’s Stratford regeneration, which included Westfield Stratford and the surrounds. Kane specialised in retail valuations while in Sydney and valued some of Australia’s largest Shopping Centres. Since returning to New Zealand in 2012, he has focused on Auckland’s CBD Office market along with mixed use and residential development valuations.
Kane is a past member of the Auckland Branch committee of the NZIV and was the Deputy Chairman for the New South Wales RICS board between 2009 and 2011. He is a RICS Assessor and has been part of the Oceania Valuation Standards Board along with being Chairman of RICS New Zealand between 2014 and 2020. In 2011 Kane was invited to become a Fellow of the RICS for his contributions to the Institution and the property profession. He is currently a member of the PCNZ National Advisory Group.

Chris specialises in the provision of valuation and consultancy advice for hospitality and tourism assets in New Zealand and South Pacific. Chris is a Registered Valuer with a strong background in real estate and finance.
Chris originally joined the Colliers International NZ Limited’s Valuation & Advisory Services Team in October 2003 becoming registered in 2007. Subsequent to registration Chris spent four years working for a property firm in the UK, before returning to Colliers in April 2011. In 2015 Chris moved to the ANZ as a manager of the Property Risk team before re-joining Colliers International in June 2017 as Director – Hotel Advisory and Valuation.
Chris’ experience gained while in the working and travelling over the past 16 years has provided him with a sound knowledge of the tourism real estate industry and banking procedures.
Christchurch (Real Estate Management and Valuations)
Scott was welcomed to Colliers in mid-2018 being an accomplished Registered Valuer with a dedicated field of practice concentrated on the commercial market sectors within Christchurch, wider Canterbury and South Island regions.
Scott is responsible for management of the Christchurch commercial valuation office and forms part of the Senior Leadership Team for the national valuation business.
Scott’s depth of experience in the property market extends over 20 years with broad expertise in industrial, office, retail and specialised use properties such as cold stores, food manufacturing and medical facilities.
Scott is an accepted Panel Valuer for all major NZ banking institutions.
Advice offered by Scott includes, sale & acquisition due diligence, valuations for mortgage security and financial reporting, rental reviews and subsequent arbitration / dispute resolutions, replacement insurance valuations with vast experience in pre-loss market indemnity scenarios and general property consultancy.

Richmond (Rural Valuation)
Blue has over 40 years valuation experience encompassing rural and resource interests, specialised agriculture assets, public sector property (especially forest interests), expert evidence and management. His prior work in senior roles with both Valuation New Zealand and Quotable Value has given him broad property knowledge – with a particular emphasis in the forestry sector.
His client work has traversed a range of property types and issues including; forestry land valuations (lessor and lessee interests), Emission Trading Scheme issues, specialised assets, agribusiness, lifestyle subdivisions, valuations for financing, tax compliance, trust formation, relationship property disputes, Maori land issues, aesthetic land and compensation. In addition he has provided expert evidence and acted as an arbitrator in a number of judicial contexts. He has given evidence in the Valuation Tribunal, High Court, and Enviroment Court.
Blue’s work previously encompassed managing the rating revaluation and roll maintenance programmes for six local authorities in the South Island, giving an in-depth understanding of rating issues and the valuation of exotic forest land and national parks, and acting as Principal Consultant (Rural and Forestry) for Quotable Value. Blue’s more recent large-scale engagements have included the valuation of forest assets in Otago, Nelson, Marlborough, Gisborne, Hawke's Bay, Wairarapa and Northland for due diligence, financial planing or reporting and Treaty of Waitangi settlement purposes, as well as Crown Forestry License rent reviews. .
Blue’s personal involvement in agribusiness extends to ownership of a West Coast pine plantation and membership of the New Zealand Institue of Forestry and Farm Forestry Association. As past President of the Property Institute of New Zealand and former President of the New Zealand Institute of Valuers, Blue is highly regarded by both his clients and peers in the profession. He is based in our Nelson office and plays a key role in our agricultural and forestry sector practices and in our dairy pastoral and horticulture valuation teams..
Milton joined Colliers (Wellington Valuation) as a Director in August 2011 and is currently National Director, Health and Retirement Living. His main focus is valuations in the aged care sector.
As Managing Director of Colliers Otago, John oversees the operation of the southern franchise, active throughout the Otago and Southland regions. Originally from Dunedin, John was educated at Otago Boys’ High School and the University of Otago before pursuing a career in accountancy. Working in Luxembourg and London for a number of years, John developed an in-depth knowledge of the finance sector which created a natural segue into property valuation upon his return to New Zealand in 2002.
Leading from the front with a career biography that adds value to every asset class, John excels at sharing insights and perspective to allow teams and individuals to develop within Colliers. Delivering on his remit of business growth to accelerate client success, he provides high-level direction that’s underpinned by two decades in the Otago property industry.
