New rural service to complement established commercial business
Colliers International is expanding its presence in Rotorua with an enhanced rural property capability to bolster its established commercial offering.
New Zealand Chief Executive Mark Synnott says the new rural franchise will be spearheaded by highly regarded rural specialist Alan Duncan.
It will complement Colliers’ existing commercial property business in Rotorua run by Mark Rendell.
“We’re excited to offer two high-performing Colliers International franchises providing a full range of commercial and rural property services in the Rotorua market,” Synnott says.
“Colliers International is well established as a leader in New Zealand commercial property services, with 22 offices throughout the country.
“In recent years, we have also been steadily growing our national rural and agribusiness capability, which is a key part of Colliers’ strategy of targeted expansion in growth areas.
“By expanding our rural services offering in Rotorua, we’re able to build upon our commitment to both the Rotorua market and our national rural capability.”
Duncan will lead a team of rural specialists including Chris Meban, Brett Martin and Richard Graham.
He says Colliers’ expansion demonstrates the ongoing strength of Rotorua’s buoyant property market.
“Colliers is already a market leader in commercial property in Rotorua, and this new rural and lifestyle service allows us to offer a wider range of services to our clients.”
Duncan says he is excited to leverage off Colliers International’s extensive rural expertise and buyer network.
“Colliers is able to reach a broad range of national and offshore investors, both through its national network of rural property specialists, and its regular roadshows in Asia and Europe.
“I’m excited to be bring this global reach to my local clients, and to continue growing Colliers’ presence in Rotorua.”
Colliers International’s Rural and Agribusiness team offers nationwide sales, valuation and advisory services across a wide range of rural and agribusiness asset classes, including farms, horticulture, viticulture, and lifestyle properties.
The team expanded its capabilities this year with the establishment of a specialist forestry sales service and a new Gisborne office.
