Albany apartment project O.K.L.A. set to rise rapidly

Auckland’s fastest-selling apartment project is under construction only eight months after it was launched to the market.

A ground-breaking ceremony was held at the site of Albany residential development O.K.L.A. this week.

Since being launched in October last year, O.K.L.A. was the fastest selling apartment development in the second half of 2017, according to Colliers International research.

The project is anticipated to be completed in 18 months, with on-grade car parking significantly reducing the build time compared with other projects currently on the market requiring basement car parking.

Appointed build partners Haydn & Rollett have been involved in a number of residential developments including Botanica and Botanica Heritage, which were completed in late 2017 with impeccable results.

O.K.L.A. – On Kaipiho Lane Albany – by Kingsman Development is a collection of 117 contemporary apartments over six levels, with a double-height entry and boutique retail offering at ground level.

According to Evans, O.K.L.A. offers some of the best value for money in the apartment market.

“Our research shows the market average asking price is $13,100 per square metre, which is 22 per cent higher than O.K.L.A.’s average asking price of $10,271 per square metre.

“These rates, as well as Albany’s promising growth potential make O.K.L.A. a smart investment option.”

Albany has been earmarked as one of ten Metropolitan Centres in the 10-year plan for Auckland meaning the area is set to benefit from continued infrastructure spend and development in the coming years.

A limited number of one, two and three-bedroom apartments are available to be purchased ranging from $550,000 to $1,110,000.
