The Vision

Queenstown Central will be a vibrant main street and town square precinct with an authentic sense of place. The design will build on the unique site, climate, vernacular and history to tell a memorable and fresh Queenstown story.

It Will

  • Be a world-class main street retail destination – appeal to locals and visitors alike.

  • Become the Town Centre and spiritual heart of the area complementing and connecting the other key precincts of Frankton Flats.

  • Use nature as a guide – celebrate the majestic rustic beauty of the landscape.

  • Build to human scale – buildings and landscape that inspire and protect.

  • Incorporate the Town Square as centre stage, main street as promenade.

  • Celebrate the rich mix of retail, entertainment and commercial activity.

  • Create a vibrant and buzzing retail precinct.
