Property Syndication Capabilities

OVERVIEW
Investment in Proportionate Ownership Schemes – also known as syndication - enables investors’ to share in group ownership of strong commercial property assets without the day-to-day inconvenience of property management.
Colliers International New Zealand Syndication team evolved as a specialist business unit to provide capital raising expertise to clients seeking private equity funds for investment in commercial real estate assets. Colliers are the link between investor funds and direct property investment ownership structures.

ABOUT US
The team is comprised of Charlie Oscroft and Kris Ongley who - collectively - have over 20 years’ combined experience in New Zealand’s property investment markets. Since its inception five years ago, the division has been involved in over $250 million in capital raisings, generating funds for syndicated investment assets in both New Zealand and Australia. On behalf of a range of clients, the Colliers Syndication team regularly brings new commercial properties to the syndication market. These opportunities generally offer above-average cash returns to investors, ordinarily paid on a monthly basis, backed by the relative security of proportional ownership of direct property assets – making them an effective investment tool in our clients’ portfolios.
With over 440 Colliers International commercial property staff in 22 offices across New Zealand, our distribution channels are well-positioned to co-ordinate and tap into the investor equity pool nationwide.

PROFESSIONALISM
The small, tight team is without equal in terms of its experience, trusted reputation, relationships and track record. These factors ensure repeat business, giving the team the professional expertise required to achieve excellent results.

TEAMWORK
Ongoing success is due to effective co-ordination of individual skillsets among our team. The group collaborates on all projects together, giving clients access to the full range of expertise and contacts.

PROPERTY SOURCING
Colliers International has extensive relationships with a range of clients across New Zealand and Australia. However, for Colliers’ Syndication division to commit to raise capital on behalf of a client, the offer first must pass a rigorous internal vetting process as agreed by an appointed investment panel – comprised of senior Colliers International management.
